Took it off the flower and had it stand up alone. Used a Citizen Fish record for the background though you can't actually tell. Water drop with pollen all over it!
Tools: Canon Rebel XTi, Canon 100mm 2.8/f Macro lens., cup, duct tape, water, stamen, Canon remote, tripod, natural and incandescent light.

Um, it's perfect! The colour, the focus, the drop! Like honey or nectar, and the pollen stuck to it? Wonderful!

Wow. I was thinking about getting the Rebel XTi, but I wasn't sure if i should settle for a low-end SLR . Now I think I'll go buy it :D

Besides, it was one of my few choices that wouldn't run me into bankruptcy :giggle:

Yeah you should totally go for it. The prices on it have dropped a bit since the XSi came out. Its a really great camera for all around shooting. Obviously a ways from the higher end SLR's canon makes but it has served me well for almost a year now and working perfectly... though I must mention, don't drop it! It costs a pretty penny to fix. Other than that I have no complaints about the camera. Definitely worth the money!

I assume I gotta pay an arm and a leg for a good macro lens though :XD:

Actually, I'd like one that goes from 1:2 to 2:1 aspect ratios. Any good suggestions?

Well the one I have goes from 1:1 -1:5. 100mm canon macro lens f/2.8. Its a really good lens overall. portraits, macro anything really. That one cost me $430 with hood. you Can probably get it cheaper now.. who knows. but you could get that lens, or even the 60mm and get extension tubes to get 2:1,3:1,4:1 etc.

That sounds great (the one I was looking at was over 1000$ and probably way above my level ).

Thanks for all your help :D
